Canvas Painting 'Up in the Downs' No. 7

Original acrylic painting on a handmade exhibition quality canvas. Size: 45 x 60 cm 3.6 cm deep.
The view is looking across a field of corn towards South Harting Church. As with all my paintings they are modern expressionist (the image of reality is distorted in order to make it expressive of the artist’s inner feelings or ideas). They reflect my uplifting feelings of wellbeing and healing. This painting and others in the series will be on show at Fork Handles Kitchen in Petersfield, Hampshire for the whole of September. Up in the Downs - No. 6

Finished my painting of the approach to Harting Down. I think I could paint this view forever :-)
My whole range of Downs paintings will be called Up in the Downs. With an expressionist feel they emphasize to me the feelings of wellbeing I experience when walking in them. I will be exhibiting my paintings @forkhandleskitchen in Petersfield in September. I aim to fill a room with Up in the Downs paintings...

West Wittering Print

Print soon to be available from the paperhello shop. I loved the colours on the West Wittering Beach near Chichester in West Sussex. Reminded me of icecream :-) The people looked like colourful dot patterns in the distance - fabulous day in the sun watching everyone and their dogs enjoying the day.
